Janice Hamlin

Janice is the founder and CEO of Marketing Immersion, a marketing strategy consulting firm.  Her scope of expertise spans the entertainment, consumer products and retail industries.  As a consultant and as an executive, Janice has spearheaded the strategic planning and growth of some of the most well-known companies in the world.  These companies’ brands, revenues and profits have been enhanced by her ability to conceive and implement winning marketing, business development and sales strategies. 

Janice has worked with many entertainment and toy brands including Disney at the ABC Television Group, Barbie, Batman, Superman, Hot Wheels, Nickelodeon, and MTV.  Industry leaders Sara Lee, McDonald’s, Champion, Pepsi, Foley Wine, Helzberg, Apple, and Toshiba are also part of her portfolio of powerful promotional partnerships.  Her expertise is truly global—among other accomplishments, she successfully brought Barbie to Japan, and Looney Tunes to the UK and Australia.  In addition to her work with entertainment and consumer companies, Janice has worked with numerous retailers including Walmart, Target, Sears, and Lowes.  She won “Vendor of the Year for Excellence” from Walmart, and Vendor of the Year from Target and Toys R Us on behalf of different companies when she was in a key executive sales and marketing roles.

Janice has worked with not only Fortune 500 companies, but small startup businesses and non-profits like United Way, Kids at Risk, SPCA, SMILE, providing on-going educational and consulting services to these organizations.  One of the programs that she is proudest of is a business targeted program – “Get Your GED” which allowed employees to get their GED while at work; this required a major collaboration with business, community, state political leadership and local educational institutions in the state of Virginia.

Janice has been honored by being featured on the cover of the Wall Street Journal, and was granted the title “one of the movers and shakers of the year” by HFN.  She has appeared in Time Magazine, USA Today, People, and on Good Morning America and NPR.  She holds several advertising patents designed to enhance the quality of marketing while creating both media and creative efficiencies for franchising and licensing organizations.

Janice holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Certification in Internet Marketing.  She is also a member of Board of Challengers and Advisor to Chapman University, and is honored to be a member of ArchAngels and Tech Coast Angels.
